Author List: Erica Poisson, DCR | Expertise Level: Mid-Level
This session will review strategies for successful GIS project management – from project intake to completion. The ability to successfully shepherd a project through all stages (intake, design, build, testing and implementation) can be daunting for anyone new to the world of project management. Over the past 7 years in my current role, I have adopted both strategies and tools to help me manage projects that come across my desk. We will review these strategies and tools, as well as look at examples of how I implement this practically on a daily basis. Attendees are encouraged to chime in with their own tools or strategies that work in their own project management.
